My husband and I married at Duxford Lodge four years ago and had a great day, so as a surprise for my husband I booked our Fourth Wedding Anniversary there requesting for the same room we had for our wedding night.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the very friendly and polite staff. Also our room had table confetti, which was a real nice touch.
When we went for dinner again our table was decorated with the table confetti (happy anniversary). Food was really great and filling but had to eat it all as it was so nice, staff were fantastic, very attentive and helpful.
Breakfast table was also reserved with confetti, a great selection for breakfast.
Will definitely return but won't leave it so long next time.
Thank you Duxford Lodge.

Wonderful Wedding Day ...
Wonderful wedding day at Duxford Lodge Hotel. The staff
could not have been more accommodating and helpful, not only on the day itself
but on every occasion we visited in the run-up to the wedding. The food was of
amazing quality, with so many guests commenting on how nice their meal was. The
staff decorated the dining room brilliantly. The surroundings are beautiful and
the room we stayed in was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Overall, we
would highly recommend the hotel to anybody planning their wedding day. Thanks
once again Duxford Lodge.

The staff are fabulous ...
We use the hotel regularly for our staff meetings. The staff are fabulous there isn’t anything that is that is too much trouble. We have our team lunch there every Christmas time and they really make us feel very special indeed. Thank you to a good team at a very friendly hotel

Our stay was such a pleasure ...
Would you thank all your staff who made our two-night stay such a pleasure.
My wife was delighted at the little things like the heart-shaped decorations on the table, a table set in the window, and the sparkling wine (though I didn't tell her I ordered it).
And they thought to bring my sister-in-law special bread because of her diet.
Derek Sissons. September 2012
enjoyed our stay ...
Just to say that Karen and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in and around Duxford. I think we would have chosen a bigger room, but that's the nature of late bookings. Food was excellent and all staff very courteous. Being a flooring man, I appreciate the smell of newly-laid carpets!
Maybe, we'll be back one day! Cheers!

The Cougar and her man -
Susan, Edith, Inga and all the anonymous people, the chefs, the camper van lady, made this anniversary break unforgettable. We had the best time, we are very well
travelled, however it is one of the few UK hotels I would (and will) recommend to friends and family. Perhaps it's all the "OLYMPIC SPIRIT", we just think it's the norm at the Duxford Lodge. Thanks to you all, see you next year...

Countryside Retreat (August 2012)...
Comfortable cosy hotel in its own gardens. Trees and shrubs on the front drive and circular flower bed in front of reception immediately provides a feeling of tranquillity as you leave the road behind you – free parking provided. From the attractive stained glass entrance, through the sunlit hall and stairs, it is immediately evident that this is a well-kept, clean and pleasant place to stay. Very friendly welcome – a member of staff cheerfully took my case up two flights of stairs to our room.
The bedroom decoration was of an equivalent standard to that of many boutique hotels with a fairly contemporary and stylish colour scheme. The bathroom was a good size and the fittings looked fresh and new despite the bidet (often found in more dated looking bathrooms). A range of attractive bath products were also provided. The lack of an upright shower was compensated for with efficient shower mixer taps and a large, deep bath. A pull open skylight in the bathroom and easy to operate wide opening bedroom windows allowed us to benefit from a lovely breeze on what was an otherwise hot day. A view of tree tops and the sound of bird song added to the pleasant countryside feel.
Evening dining was on offer but as we had plans we did not sample this. After a good night’s sleep we enjoyed a pleasant breakfast served without fuss. Guests would benefit however from being offered pre-buttered toast with eggs (scrambled eggs arrived on dry toast so trying to butter it ourselves was unnecessarily messy.) Like so many hotels, the room supplies of milk and teabags were also fairly limited and I would much rather not have to bother staff for more supplies in order to satisfy the caffeine levels we enjoy at home! These very small issues aside, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Duxford Lodge – a relaxing, value for money break in pleasant surroundings - we would definitely recommend it
A lovely weekend ...
A lovely weekend spent at the Duxford Lodge. On arrival - Friday evening we were allocated a room on the third floor. The room was a little warm (however the sun had been shining - rare) but we opened all the windows and it soon become more comfortable. The bath was huge and my son loved it. The food was excellent and the service first class. Family friendly and a warm welcome from all the staff. Would definitely return again.
A delightful stay ...
We stayed with you last Friday evening and enjoyed our short time with you! We arrived late due to appalling weather but you were there to welcome us and we enjoyed our (late) evening meal. The room (one of your refurbished rooms) was delightful and we look forward to booking a stay at Duxford Lodge again.

First rate service ...
My wife and I stayed at Duxford Lodge for 3 days last week. We found the service first rate, nothing too much trouble. The food excellent, well served and presented. The wine list very acceptable at sensible prices. Room excellent, a bit dark. Overall well done.
Ian and Pat Wilkinson. June 2012
Very pleasant stay ...
Very pleasant stay, hotel and restaurant a little dated, however still perfectly acceptable; it can\'t be easy for a hotelier in a village location considering the current economic situation. Would stay again without hesitation. '
Mr. James White. October 2011
Very good service ...
Very good service from all the staff. Two good rooms for both couples and the garden was well tended and pretty. Enjoyed the dinner although felt there could have been a little more
choice and disappointed one of the sweets was unavailable. Also would have liked to have has some more choice of vegetables. However, overall, a very enjoyable experience, and we wouldn't
hesitate to come back.
Mr. Tim Thornton. October 2011
Birthday treat ...
We stayed at Duxford as a treat for my husband's birthday. Service on Sunday evening and Monday morning was great, really attentive and love the confetti on the breakfast table. Thank you. The 4/5 is only because the room was very warm and so it was difficult to sleep comfortably.'
Mrs. Rachel Groves. October 2011
Free personal air show ...
We stayed at your lovely hotel whilst visiting the Air show in September, and didn’t realise we would have a personal air show from our bedroom window the night before! The room, staff and reception service was excellent. We also had a beautifully prepared meal on our first night, and an extensive choice for breakfast. We would definitely choose to stay here again, if we are ever in the location and would recommend it to friends.
Mr and Mrs Spry, Devon. September 2011
Ideal Business Meetings Location ...
We found this hotel an ideal location for business meetings.
Close to Stansted airport yet country location.
The function room we used was quiet with plenty of fresh air and sunlight, as well as the essential good and reliable internet access,
During the meeting breaks the gardens were perfect to relax a little and refresh
the mind. Staff were always on hand to assist and without exception took time to
make sure everyone was as comfortable as possible. Food was of good quality, and
served in pleasant surroundings. and all this at very reasonable rates. We will
use this facility again.
Stuart Parfitt, June 2011
Would recommend this fine Hotel, it met all our needs,
friendly staff and clean and homely rooms.
The grounds are lovely and quiet. the breakfast was superb, just need a bin for the cereal boxes!
The evening meal was very enjoyable, an excellent and interesting choice of dishes, and very attentive, but not intrusive staff.
What a lovely touch, a birthday card and sequins on the table for my birthday breakfast.
An added treat, were the house martins flying past the window, feeding their young under the eaves.

Stay near Duxford...
The hotel was quiet which suited us over an Easter weekend. We had dinner, the food was very good, service also very good as well.
We enjoyed our stay, the room was large and spacious, the decor of its time but comfortable.
We would think of staying again for 1 or 2 nights, it's location close to Duxford Air Museum is great.
My partner and I stayed at Duxford Lodge on the weekend of our fourth anniversary and we had met there four years ago for our first date. My partner had mentioned this when booking and when we had dinner on the 17th, we were congratulated by the staff and some lovely red sparkly confetti was tossed onto our table - what a lovely romantic thought that was. Our executive room overlooking the garden was all we could have wanted it to be - complete with four poster bed! We have decided that Duxford Lodge will be our destination for every anniversary to come.
Would recommend Duxford Lodge to
Myself and my partner have just stayed in the Duxford Lodge for the night as we were going to Duxford Air Museum for the day. On arrival the receptionist was very nice and welcoming, we were situated on the second floor and the room was on the top floor of the lodge. The room was very pleasant, fresh bedding and very clean. I had a few problems trying to connect to the internet and the receptionist was very helpful trying to help me get connected , for some reason I couldn't.
provided an unlimited supply of tea, coffee milk sugar etc for our room which
I thought was really good. Only thing about the room I could fault was the fact that the pillows gave me neck ache, but that is because every one is used to their own . We didn't use the bar as we don't drink but it looked really welcoming.
Breakfast was included and was really nice.
I would honestly say that apart from the pillows the Duxford Lodge is a really nice place to stay, and even the other people who stayed there were very polite. I would recommend
Duxford Lodge to anyone, and we are thinking of staying there again when the air show's are on.
A big thank you!
We would love to say a big thank you for making our stay with you so enjoyable...it was our 10th wedding anniversary and you attention to detail was very kind.. The room was lovely and clean, the hotel had a wonderful atmosphere, and the gardens were enchanting. The food was amazing and the wine most enjoyable!! Thank you once again ...hopefully we will be back soon.

Two-night stay with friends ...
We stayed for two nights with friends. We had two double rooms the rooms were very clean and tidy, bed very comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly and breakfast was very good but we felt the only thing that let it down was the bathrooms very tired and needed some attention. They were clean but the
water in the shower did not come out hardly at all and getting the temp
correct was very difficult we felt even new shower heads would have

As with all houses we have experienced plumbing problems but have started up-dating our bedrooms/bathrooms to eradicate this very problem as we are aware that something this important can ruin an excellent stay in our beautiful Hotel. We hope it will not dissuade you from visiting us again.
What a delightful place ...
We have just returned home after spending a night in your hotel. I couldn't wait to get on the internet to sing your praises!!! What a delightful place. The room was wonderful, the decor, the cleanliness, everything was superb. The gardens are beautifully kept. The staff are extremely helpful and polite.
We were celebrating 28 years of marriage and are glad to say your hotel and a day spent looking round Cambridge made it a memorable weekend. We will definitely be back.

Thanks to restaurant staff and Chef!
I must put pen to paper to congratulate you and your staff for making my visit to Duxford a very pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing stay, I travel all over the country and spend at least three nights per week in various hotels, and may I say your hotel is without doubt one of the best, please pass on my thanks to your restaurant and kitchen staff, especially the Chef !, the menu was excellent and the presentation outstanding. I look forward to my next visit to your wonderful hotel.
We had the enormous pleasure of staying at your hotel ...
Last Friday, my wife and I and four of our friends from St John Ambulance, Jackie McCann, Ralph Coggs and Alan & Ros Wright, had the enormous pleasure of staying at your hotel prior to our visit to Duxford Museum, and the whole experience was fantastic.
Everyone was so helpful and pleasant, and the quality of the food was superb, (Alan is just about coming down from his 'high'), and from my point, yours is one of the few hotels I have been to that not only has my favourite drink, Calvados, but Boulard is in my opinion, second only to Per Magloire.
We all enjoyed it so much and we will certainly come again when the new building is open at the Museum, and we will certainly recommend you to all our friends who wish to visit the area.

Holspitality with that "personal" touch ...
Hospitality at Duxford Lodge Hotel has that 'personal' touch which isn't always available in bigger hotels. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable - I will certainly come again.
Jane Charman, Salisbury
Just brilliant! Thanks for everything. We had a great time. Staff were more than efficient and very friendly. Room had real charm. Thanks very much to all. We definitely hope to return.
