My partner and I stayed at Duxford Lodge on the weekend of 17/18 April, 2010. It
was our fourth anniversary and we had met there four years ago for our first
date. My partner had mentioned this when booking and when we had dinner on the
17th, we were congratulated by the staff and some lovely red sparkly confetti
was tossed onto our table - what a lovely romantic thought that was. Our
executive room overlooking the garden was all we could have wanted it to be -
complete with four poster bed! We have decided that Duxford Lodge will be our
destination for every anniversary to come.

Myself and my partner have just stayed in the Duxford Lodge for
the night as we were going to Duxford Air Museum for the day. On arrival 4th
April 2010 the receptionist was very nice and welcoming, we were situated on the
second floor and the room was on the top floor of the lodge. The room was very
pleasant, fresh bedding and very clean. I had a few problems trying to connect
to the internet and the receptionist was very helpful trying to help me get
connected , for some reason I couldn't. You unlimited supply of tea, coffee milk
sugar etc for our room which i thought was really good. Only thing about the
room i could fault was the fact that the pillows gave me neck ache, but that is
because every one is used to their own . We didn't use the bar as we don't drink
but it looked really welcoming. Breakfast was included and was really nice.
I would honestly say that apart from the pillows the duxford lodge is a really
nice place to stay, and even the other people who stayed there were very polite.
I would recommend duxford lodge to anyone, and we are thinking of staying there
again when the air show's are on.

We would love to say a big thank you for making our stay with you
so enjoyable...it was our 10th wedding anniversary and you attention to detail
was very kind.. The room was lovely and clean, the hotel had a wonderful
atmosphere, and the gardens were enchanting. The food was amazing and the wine
most enjoyable!! Thank you once again ...hopefully we will be back soon.

We stayed for two nights on Friday & Saturday 1st & 2nd August
2008 with friends. We had two double rooms the rooms were very clean and tidy,
bed very comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly and breakfast was very
good but we felt the only thing that let it down was the bathrooms very tired
and needed some attention. They were clean but the
water in the shower did not come out hardly at all and getting the temp
correct was very difficult we felt even new shower heads would have
helped. Mrs S Riley
MANAGER'S COMMENT
As with all houses we have experienced plumbing problems but have started
up-dating our bedrooms/bathrooms to eradicate this very problem as we are aware
that something this important can ruin an excellent stay in our beautiful Hotel.
We hope it will not dissuade you from visiting us again.
We have just returned home after spending a night in your hotel.
I couldn't wait to get on the internet to sing your praises!!! What a delightful
place. The room was wonderful, the decor, the cleanliness, everything was
superb. The gardens are beautifully kept. The staff are extremely helpful and
polite.
We were celebrating 28 years of marriage and are glad to say your hotel and a
day spent looking round Cambridge made it a memorable weekend. We will
definitely be back.
Thank you. Jean and Derek Maclachlan
I must put pen to paper to congratulate you and your staff for
making my visit to Duxford a very pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing stay, I
travel all over the country and spend at least three nights per week in various
hotels, and may I say your hotel is without doubt one of the best, please pass
on my thanks to your restaurant and kitchen staff, especially the Chef !, the
menu was excellent and the presentation outstanding. I look forward to my next
visit to your wonderful hotel.
Kind regards Allan James
Last Friday, my wife and I and four of our friends from St John Ambulance, Jackie McCann, Ralph Coggs and
Alan & Ros Wright, had the enormous pleasure of staying at your hotel prior to our visit to Duxford Museum, and the whole
experience was fantastic.
Everyone was so helpful and pleasant, and the quality of the food was superb, (Alan is just about coming down from his 'high'),
and from my point, yours is one of the few hotels I have been to that not only has my favourite drink, Calvados, but Boulard
is in my opinion, second only to Per Magloire.
We all enjoyed it so much and we will certainly come again when the new building is open at the Museum, and we will certainly
recommend you to all our friends who wish to visit the area.

Hospitality at Duxford Lodge Hotel has that 'personal'
touch which isn't always available in bigger hotels. Thank you for
making my stay so enjoyable - I will certainly come again.
