Very pleasant stay, hotel and restaurant a little dated, however still perfectly acceptable; it can\'t be easy for a hotelier in a village location considering the current economic situation. Would stay again without hesitation. '

Very good service ...
Very good service from all the staff. Two good rooms for both couples and the garden was well tended and pretty. Enjoyed the dinner although felt there could have been a little more
choice and disappointed one of the sweets was unavailable. Also would have liked to have has some more choice of vegetables. However, overall, a very enjoyable experience, and we wouldn't
hesitate to come back.

Birthday treat ...
We stayed at Duxford as a treat for my husband's birthday. Service on Sunday evening and Monday morning was great, really attentive and love the confetti on the breakfast table. Thank you. The 4/5 is only because the room was very warm and so it was difficult to sleep comfortably.'
Mrs. Rachel Groves. October 2011
Free personal air show ...
We stayed at your lovely hotel whilst visiting the Air show in September, and didn’t realise we would have a personal air show from our bedroom window the night before! The room, staff and reception service was excellent. We also had a beautifully prepared meal on our first night, and an extensive choice for breakfast. We would definitely choose to stay here again, if we are ever in the location and would recommend it to friends.

Ideal Business Meetings Location ...
We found this hotel an ideal location for business meetings.
Close to Stansted airport yet country location.
The function room we used was quiet with plenty of fresh air and sunlight, as well as the essential good and reliable internet access,
During the meeting breaks the gardens were perfect to relax a little and refresh
the mind. Staff were always on hand to assist and without exception took time to
make sure everyone was as comfortable as possible. Food was of good quality, and
served in pleasant surroundings. and all this at very reasonable rates. We will
use this facility again.

Birthday Treat...
Would recommend this fine Hotel, it met all our needs,
friendly staff and clean and homely rooms.
The grounds are lovely and quiet. the breakfast was superb, just need a bin for the cereal boxes!
The evening meal was very enjoyable, an excellent and interesting choice of dishes, and very attentive, but not intrusive staff.
What a lovely touch, a birthday card and sequins on the table for my birthday breakfast.
An added treat, were the house martins flying past the window, feeding their young under the eaves.

Stay near Duxford...
The hotel was quiet which suited us over an Easter weekend. We had dinner, the food was very good, service also very good as well.
We enjoyed our stay, the room was large and spacious, the decor of its time but comfortable.
We would think of staying again for 1 or 2 nights, it's location close to Duxford Air Museum is great.
Anniversary Visit...
My partner and I stayed at Duxford Lodge on the weekend of our fourth anniversary and we had met there four years ago for our first date. My partner had mentioned this when booking and when we had dinner on the 17th, we were congratulated by the staff and some lovely red sparkly confetti was tossed onto our table - what a lovely romantic thought that was. Our executive room overlooking the garden was all we could have wanted it to be - complete with four poster bed! We have decided that Duxford Lodge will be our destination for every anniversary to come.

Would recommend Duxford Lodge to
anyone ...
Myself and my partner have just stayed in the Duxford Lodge for the night as we were going to Duxford Air Museum for the day. On arrival the receptionist was very nice and welcoming, we were situated on the second floor and the room was on the top floor of the lodge. The room was very pleasant, fresh bedding and very clean. I had a few problems trying to connect to the internet and the receptionist was very helpful trying to help me get connected , for some reason I couldn't.
You
provided an unlimited supply of tea, coffee milk sugar etc for our room which
I thought was really good. Only thing about the room I could fault was the fact that the pillows gave me neck ache, but that is because every one is used to their own . We didn't use the bar as we don't drink but it looked really welcoming.
Breakfast was included and was really nice.
I would honestly say that apart from the pillows the Duxford Lodge is a really nice place to stay, and even the other people who stayed there were very polite. I would recommend
Duxford Lodge to anyone, and we are thinking of staying there again when the air show's are on.

Two-night stay with friends ...
We stayed for two nights with friends. We had two double rooms the rooms were very clean and tidy, bed very comfortable, the staff very helpful and friendly and breakfast was very good but we felt the only thing that let it down was the bathrooms very tired and needed some attention. They were clean but the
water in the shower did not come out hardly at all and getting the temp
correct was very difficult we felt even new shower heads would have
helped.

MANAGER'S COMMENT:
As with all houses we have experienced plumbing problems but have started up-dating our bedrooms/bathrooms to eradicate this very problem as we are aware that something this important can ruin an excellent stay in our beautiful Hotel. We hope it will not dissuade you from visiting us again.
What a delightful place ...
We have just returned home after spending a night in your hotel. I couldn't wait to get on the internet to sing your praises!!! What a delightful place. The room was wonderful, the decor, the cleanliness, everything was superb. The gardens are beautifully kept. The staff are extremely helpful and polite.
We were celebrating 28 years of marriage and are glad to say your hotel and a day spent looking round Cambridge made it a memorable weekend. We will definitely be back.
Thank you.

Thanks to restaurant staff and Chef!
I must put pen to paper to congratulate you and your staff for making my visit to Duxford a very pleasant, enjoyable and relaxing stay, I travel all over the country and spend at least three nights per week in various hotels, and may I say your hotel is without doubt one of the best, please pass on my thanks to your restaurant and kitchen staff, especially the Chef !, the menu was excellent and the presentation outstanding. I look forward to my next visit to your wonderful hotel.
Kind regards
Allan James
We had the enormous pleasure of staying at your hotel ...
Last Friday, my wife and I and four of our friends from St John Ambulance, Jackie McCann, Ralph Coggs and Alan & Ros Wright, had the enormous pleasure of staying at your hotel prior to our visit to Duxford Museum, and the whole experience was fantastic.
Everyone was so helpful and pleasant, and the quality of the food was superb, (Alan is just about coming down from his 'high'), and from my point, yours is one of the few hotels I have been to that not only has my favourite drink, Calvados, but Boulard is in my opinion, second only to Per Magloire.
We all enjoyed it so much and we will certainly come again when the new building is open at the Museum, and we will certainly recommend you to all our friends who wish to visit the area.

Holspitality with that "personal" touch ...
Hospitality at Duxford Lodge Hotel has that 'personal' touch which isn't always available in bigger hotels. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable - I will certainly come again.
